Northern Thailand Tour

Arrival in Chiang Mai: Upon arrival at Chiang Mai Airport or the railway station, we will transfer you to your hotel. There is an optional Kantoke Dinner with Cultural shows.

Overnight in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai: Following breakfast at the hotel, we visit White Meo Hilltribe & Doi Suthep Temple. We will drive past Chiang Mai University and Zoo and then uphill to visit a White Meo Hilltribe village. This is followed by a visit to Wat Phradhat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in the North, which is reached by a staircase of 306 steps or a cable car. On a clear day, panoramic views of the Chiang Mai valley from the temple grounds are spectacular. Lunch is held at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we visit Sankamphaeng district, the heart of the home industries. Continue on to Bor Sang, the umbrella village where delicate Thai paper umbrellas are produced. From here, we go onwards to a Thai Celadon factory, where exquisite ceramics are produced. We will also stop to observe the intricacies of both the lacquer ware and silverware craftsmen.

Overnight in Chiang Mai (B/L)

Chiang Mai-Ban Thaton: Following breakfast in the early morning, we will depart the hotel for a visit to an orchid farm and then on to Mae Ping Elephant Camp. There is an optional elephant ride and bamboo rafting. Continue driving via Fang to Thaton stopping for lunch along the way at a small resort and at Fang market. Then we continue our drive to Baan Thaton where we will spend the night at a riverside resort. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Overnight at Ban Thaton (B/L/D)

Ban Thaton-Mae Salong-Mae Sai-Golden Triangle: After breakfast, we will tour into the mountains to Doi Mae Salong, a Chinese Kuomintang town and then down to Mae Sai at the Thai-Myanmar border. Lunch will be held at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive to Chiang Saen and take an exhilarating boat trip on Mekhong River by speedboat to the Golden Triangle. Return to Chiang Rai. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Day 5 - Depart Chiang Rai: Breakfast at hotel. Morning at will be spent at leisure, then we will transfer you to Chiang Rai Airport for your flight to Bangkok. (Airfare is not included)
