Faraway Holidays is an independent tour operator, owned by Travelzest PLC, based in Swansea, South Wales. The team here has over 100 years of combined experience in the travel industry.
Each of the destinations that we feature have been personally visited by at least one member of the team. This enables us to not only give general information about the country that you will be visiting, but to offer an in-depth knowledge of the area, it's people and the hotel. Each of us specialise in certain areas of the world, and regularly travel to them to keep our knowledge up to date. This enables us to tailor make a holiday precisely to your needs, whether it is a fortnight laying by the pool in Bali, a multi-centre tour of Vietnam or trekking through villages in Northern Thailand.

Climate change is set to be the major issue of our generation. With the impact of climate change becoming increasingly obvious, governments have realised the need for urgent action. However, treaties and legislation alone will not save the planet, we all have a vital role to play in reducing the amount of greenhouse gases released into our atmosphere.
One way we can all help is by using energy more wisely and as a result reducing the amount of greenhouse gases - particularly carbon dioxide - emitted into the atmosphere. Another is to contribute towards schemes that offset the impact of your personal travel.
Faraway Holidays supports Pure (http://www.puretrust.org.uk/personal.aspx) as a charity accredited to government "Gold" standard for its work in carbon offsetting, however please feel free to choose any recognised scheme.
